About the Founder

Nooge Taher,
Founder & Creative Director
(Indjy Taher)

Nooge is a creative visionary and entrepreneur based in Cairo, Egypt. Curious by nature and passionate about identifying the intersection between traditional craft and the contemporary creative landscape, Taher has proven her knack for curation, conceptual thinking and product design over the course of 18 years in the creative field. She is the founder of multi-disciplinary creative space and lifestyle brand, The Nook, and co-founder and creative director of Museeum, the retail design company operating the Grand Egyptian Museum’s official gift shop. Taher has helped foster deeper connections between audiences and the arts — all while keeping the rich tapestry of Egyptian artisanship at the center of her work.

How It Started
“It was a moment of clarity in the chaos. Not just the chaos of life, but the chaos of trying to satisfy an unquenchable thirst for all things creative.

The day-to-day and the once in a lifetime all equally important.

From being blessed with motherhood to the gift of creative and artistic expression – each making me more able at the other.

Every part of every experience had taken on new meaning and everything was connected. Life is greater than the sum of all its parts.

It was the ups, downs, rights and lefts. Sometimes all at once, such is life. Multi-tasking on the grandest of scales.
They all made me who I am.

However, look more closely. Deeper. Longer. You’ll discover something special in every corner of life. Creativity is the language of how you express it. And that is what the Nook is about.

It started out as a desire to organise everything in my head ……but ended up as a place for everyone to share the creativity in their hearts.

Untitled Gallery is a welcoming place for creative expression, bringing together both emerging voices and established creatives. It features a thoughtfully curated selection of prints by artists, illustrators, designers, and photographers, alongside our own in-house creations.

Inspired by Egyptian heritage and reinterpreted through a contemporary lens, the collection reflects a balance between tradition and modern living. By combining local talent with advanced printing techniques and scalable formats, we aim to make distinctive, high-quality art more accessible and personal.
